У статті проаналізовано зарубіжний досвід з питань надання психологічної допомоги працівникам поліції після їх перебування в екстремальних ситуаціях. Розкрито зміст поняття «психологічна допомога» й визначено основні її етичні принципи. Виокремлено базові чинники, що визначають особливості надання психологічної допомоги працівникам поліції у низці зарубіжних країн. Зосереджено увагу на досвіді надання психологічної допомоги працівникам поліції у розвинутих країнах світу. Зокрема, детально охарактеризовано Програми ACCESS EAP, CIT (США), POS (Канада), методи запобігання травм (Великобританія). Акцентовано увагу на необхідності доповнення вітчизняних доробків з досліджуваної проблематики й доцільності розроблення практичних рекомендацій щодо їх застосування у системі МВС України
