The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the problem of professional formation of personality during higher education. The role of professional consciousness in the process of future specialist’s professional formation is determined. The focus is on describing the stages of personality’s professional formation. It is argued that professionalization is a successful indicator of the process of specialist formation and development. The main purpose of the article is a theoretical analysis of the psychological features of the future specialist’s professional formation during the period of educational and professional activity
