The article substantiates theoretical and methodological approaches to the problem of professional consciousness of a modern teacher. It is noted that a teacher’s professional consciousness emerges as a form of reflection of professional and pedagogical reality, as an integral personal formation of the activity subject, the development of which occurs under the influence of the professional environment and active participation in pedagogical activity
