The article presents the results of theoretical analysis and empirical research of psychological features of the manifestation of coping behavior in single women, as a form of overcoming stress in conditions of uncertainty. The place of coping strategies in maintaining mental health under stress is identified. Problem-solving planning, self-control, search for social support and confrontation as the prevailing coping strategies of the subjects were analyzed
