The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of temperament on the peculiarities of adaptation of students of different sexes. The concepts of adaptation, temperament, extroversion-introversion are defined. Human temperament has been shown to be related to the characteristics of educational and professional activities. The influence of the main qualities of temperament on success in social and educational activities is analyzed, recommendations for working with students with different types of temperament are outlined
