The article provides a psychological and theoretical analysis of humanistic issues in the philosophical and educational heritage of H. Skovoroda, revealing the psychological aspects of the phenomenon of personality based on the teachings of the outstanding philosopher from the perspective of contemporary domestic psychological science. It also defines the psychological content and specificity of the main categories of the Ukrainian thinker's philosophy: happiness, ‘congenial labour’, ‘philosophy of the heart’, self-knowledge, freethinking, etc
