The article is devoted to the problem of establishing the psychodiagnostic capabilities of the Ukrainian-language version of the well-known psychodiagnostic tool for the study of personality structure - the sixteen-factor questionnaire R. Cattella (16-PF). The authors of the article represent the results of an experimental study on establishing the psychodiagnostic potential of an adapted questionnaire. The methodology and structure of the conducted research are revealed, the main psychometric characteristics of the adapted questionnaire are calculated. It is shown that the use of Cattell's Ukrainian-language questionnaire allows you to determine the personal typology of employees, the adapted questionnaire can be effectively used for the purpose of psychological support of the activities of police officers, in particular, during the professional selection of personnel
