The article aims to provide a theoretical analysis of the main approaches, basic principles, and specific features of forming employee engagement in organizational activities. To achieve this goal, several tasks were addressed: the concept of employee engagement was clarified, different approaches to its study were analyzed, and factors determining the level of employee engagement as well as optimal conditions for the purposeful formation of engagement in the organization’s personnel were identified
