The professional activities of cybersecurity specialists are becoming particularly relevant in the context of the digital transformation of society and the growth of cyber threats. The effectiveness of their professional tasks is largely determined by the formation of professionally important personality traits, which necessitates a scientifically based definition of psychological criteria for the professional and psychological selection of specialists in the field of cybersecurity. The aim of the study was to identify the psychological factors that influence the effectiveness of the professional activities of cybersecurity specialists by developing a psychogram that reflects the functional and dynamic structural components of the psyche that ensure their success at work. 120 cybersecurity specialists took part in the study. A set of psychodiagnostic techniques was used, in particular: Smirnov’s “Motivational Structure of Personality” technique; Klimov’s “Determining the Optimal Type of Profession” technique; Eysenck’s personality questionnaire; a modified Landolt ring technique; Karamushka and Moskalyova’s adaptive mobility technique; the analytical thinking test; methods for assessing long-term visual and working memory; Cattell’s 16-factor personality questionnaire; Ryff’s “Psychological Well-Being” method; Kokun’s “Professional Resilience” method. Correlation and factor analysis were used to process the results. Five key components of the psychogram of cybersecurity specialists were identified: motivational, psychophysiological, cognitive, individual psychological, and social. It was determined that the leading component is motivational, the structure of which is dominated by motives of life support, social usefulness, and creative activity. In terms of temperamental characteristics, individuals with sanguine (40%) and phlegmatic (35%) types were found to be the most suitable. The cognitive sphere is characterised by a high level of analytical thinking and professional memory. The individual psychological profile includes practicality, firmness, normativity, self-control, and diplomacy. The social component is represented by a high level of professional resilience, control and acceptance of challenges. The developed psychogram can be used as a scientifically based tool for professional and psychological selection and career guidance of cybersecurity specialists, allowing to determine the suitability of candidates and predict the success of their professional activities
